Rooftop solar installation

A rooftop solar array will stay in place for 25–30 years. If the covering beneath it lets water through, the problem ends up under the whole system – so Eurokas takes care of the roof side: the bases, protecting the waterproofing and access, so the modules sit on a reliable, dry roof, not the other way round.

What our service covers

We do not do the electrical installation – that is the solar installer’s job. We are responsible for the roof: that it carries the weight, stays watertight, and can be reached throughout the array’s life.

  • Assessment of the covering’s age and the structure’s weight capacity
  • Installing a ballasted or fixed base
  • Protecting the waterproofing under the bases and sealing the details
  • Planning access for maintenance
  • Co-ordinating the schedule with the electrical installer

The roof first, the modules second

An array will generate power anywhere, but if the covering beneath it lets water through, the problem ends up under the whole system. So installation starts not with the modules but with the state of the roof covering.

Ballasted or mechanically fixed base

We choose the base type by whether the structure can carry the extra weight.

How the work runs

First we assess the age of the covering: if little life is left, it is cheaper to replace it now than to lift the whole system a few years later. Then we install the bases and, if fixing is chosen, seal every detail. We co-ordinate the schedule with the solar installer so the work runs smoothly.

Penetrations – the main risk to the covering

Every fixing through the covering is a place where a leak can start. If mechanical fixing is chosen, the sealing of the details is done by the roofer, not the panel installer.

Quality control and warranty

Before the details are covered we photograph them – you will not see them again under the modules. Those photos stay with you together with the warranty. That way you know there is a sound, watertight roof under your array.

Where we work, and with whom

We work in Vilnius, Kaunas and across Lithuania, and for larger projects across the EU. We co-operate with solar installers: they handle the electrics, we handle the roof. If the array is already up and the covering needs replacing, we help with that too.

Frequently asked questions

No. We do the roof side – the bases, protecting the waterproofing, the details. The electrical installation is done by solar specialists we co-operate with.

If little life is left in it, yes – it is cheaper to replace it now than to lift the whole system a few years later to reach the roof.

A ballasted base does not penetrate the covering but loads the roof; a fixed one is lighter but the details must be sealed. We choose by your structure.

Yes, we provide a warranty on the roof work and hand over photos of the closed-up details.

Planning a rooftop solar array?

We take care of the roof side – so the modules sit on a reliable, dry roof. We start by assessing the covering.
